The View Outside

It's been some time since I last blogged about the changes that have been happening at my new place.    Because of our crazy work, and school schedule things here has come to a halt.  I haven't been able to accomplish much besides buying a new vacuum, putting up my full body mirror, rearranging out closet, and putting down new carpet in our closet.  My boyfriend and I have kind of put a hold on done any more "fixing" on the inside of our house and have shifted our focus to the outside of our house.

If you could possibly picture a small house completely hidden by grass that is taller than a telephone pole and that grows like rapid fire then you could picture the view from my living room window.  For some reason the grass here grows like crazy.  Once you cut it the grass sprouts less then a week later.  Our mission was to clear the grass by the mid of May because we have graduations and birthdays coming up.  I'm proud to say that as of this weekend I can finally see out my window with nothing blocking my view.

While in the process of cutting the grass we found the frame of an old car, stones that we placed almost 3 years ago that were supposed to be used to create a walk way and just about 8 jackson chameleons.  It was very eventful and interesting to say the least.  My son, boyfriend, and in laws enjoyed the bonding experience we had over the weekend, even if we spent most of the time laughing at my son.

Slowly but surely we are hacking away at everything we would like to fix up with our new house.

Completion of The Inside

Hey guys!  Here is and update to what I've got done so far.  Since we moved in I finally was able to get through all of our items and some what find homes for them.  My living room, although small, is now set up and complete (minus the clothes I need to fold and put away).  I was able to complete my kitchen area and find a metal shelf that kind fits in with this theme that unfolded itself.  I basically have been storing everything that I use regularly on it and am slowly making my kitchen MINE!  My new project that I'm slowly working on is tackling our back yard/side yard.  If only you could see the forest growing outside my door.  I'm posting some pictures of my new addition to the kitchen and what my small living room area looks like now.  Sorry for the mess but that as well is a work in progress.  Until next week, hope you all are well and have a great spring break.

Hey everyone!! Okay so I decided that my first blog would be about my current interest in house remodeling.  I know to some it may not be too interesting but considering that I've just moved into my own little place with my son and boyfriend it's been our new interest.  This was a huge change and challenge for us.  The house is very old and definitely needed to fresh new outlook.  WE have currently replaced all the flooring, and re painted the whole inside.  I've had to completely gut out the this once bachelor pad into a semi small family house.  So I plan on blogging weekly updating all the new changes that have been made.  I'll post a few photo's of what it looks like now.  Keep in mind Im still un packing since today was our move in date.
